For countless years, the Oak Hills in Southern Hastings County, Ontario, have been recognized as a source of fresh spring water. Oak Hills Artesian Water Company is supplied by naturally occurring artesian springs, protected by hundreds of acres of pine, oak and maple forest in the Oak Hills.
Our careful development of this precious spring resource has assured its continuing quality and supply. From the beginning we took care not to interfere with the natural flow from these springs. We continue to divert, only a small percentage of the natural artesian flow through a sealed gravity fed system, to the bottling plant, where the water is treated, first with UV and then ozone, then filtered down to 1 micron (absolute) just before filling.
To ensure the quality and safety of our product, Oak Hills Artesian Water is processed with uncompromising attention to detail in order to preserve its purity. Daily in-house quality testing in our "at-source" bottling facility, together with independent comprehensive laboratory testing*, assures the quality and safety of our water at your home or office. Oak Hills Water received two annual awards for excellence in manufacturing from the Canadian Bottled Water Association, and have been a multiple winner of the Readers' Choice Award, presented to us by the Belleville Intelligencer, and the Trentonian daily newspapers, for being Quinte's Favorite Water Supplier. There is no doubt that our product speaks for itself.
Oak Hills Water was granted a permit to take water in 1995 by the MoE for 450,313 liters per day which was renewed for a further 10 years in 2005. The source of Oak Hills Water is natural artesian spring that was mapped in the township survey in the late 1700's. The spring water flows from the hills 66 feet above and 1300 feet from the bottling facility continuously by gravity feed through the plant at approx 75 GPM.
The bottling plant is located on 150 acres just south of Stirling, Ont., in the City of Quinte West, 500 meters off Highway 33. Oak Hills Water presently packages both Steam Distilled and Artesian Spring water in 500ml - 1.5L - 4L - 10L - 11L and 18.9L sizes. We also have a Bulk Tanker Spring Water supply facility with 10,000 gallons of S/S insulated storage, 300 gallon per minute tanker truck loading capacity with in line filtration and UV treatment.
Our small package line is an ACASI 3000 BPH 6 head in line filler capable of filling both plastic and glass bottles from 250ml up to 2 liter sizes, with an in line disc capper capable of up to 110 mm cap sizes and a wrap around pressure sensitive labeler.
